Finesse! ^^^ ^^^Fluidity Most of you already know that I am a colt starter and horse trainer as well as a seller on ebay and the internet. I will work on this page in the coming days to try and describe better my philosophy on horse "training" and development. I prefer to call it development rather than training because horses don't really need training.. they just need help to become their best selves. And, that really is different for every single horse/human combo... "Training" usually refers to a system and succession of behaviors somehow instilled into the horse/human and most of the time it is the SAME TECHNIQUES/Tortures applied to all. I prefer to take each horse and each human individually and gently encourage the best behaviors we want and simply make the negative ones uncomfortable. For one horse a "best" behavior might be totally opposite from another... Same with the human... "have you considered your horses "Horsenality" in the endeavors you are asking of him"?? "have you considered if your own individual personality is cohesive with your horses"?? I do take in horses for Development and I usually have at least one young horse available for sale. I have had people send horses from many states away to be started. We live in a place where we can do everything with our horses including miles of trails and the beach! When I start a youngster, Or you buy a horse that I have developed, you end up with a balanced, sane, puzzle solving, "brilliant" and totally happy horse! I will NOT sell a horse to or start a horse for anyone that is not at least willing to complete a Parelli Level 1 home study course! Feel free to ask me anything and I will do my best to help. Be prepared to be referred to the Parelli Program for almost ANY answer pertaining to ANY discipline or breed of horse. I have always ridden English and Dressage is my passion. I have been lead, (dragged and beaten by "troubled" horses), into the Parelli natural horsemanship program and I have to say that it is the most incredible system I have ever sunk my teeth into!! If you want the relationship with your horse to be number 1 then you will adore what Pat and Linda Parelli have made available to anyone searching! The amount of material and support they have put out there is unreal and unheard of in the horse world. ANYONE with ANY horse can do it... Be prepared to be changed! If you are not willing to grow and change then don't even start! But if you are tired of being stagnant and insane, (doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results), then you must dive head first into the Parelli Program... My question to you for today: "IS the relationship with your Horse Number 1"????? (How would your Horse Answer from his perspective?) |
