I got the below email a couple days ago and couldn't resist listing some of Michaels art! Michael has Downs syndrome. His paintings do make me happy!! Scroll down and see if you don't feel the same way!! :]
Hi Kelly,
Michael and I enjoyed looking at
your web site tonight. He was looking for good images of BMDs, (Bernese
Mountain Dogs), and he found Garbo on Google. Michael never copies any
pictures, he just uses them for inspiration. Tomorrow he plans to look around
your website some more. Michael loves animals and he has been painting
(almost every day) for the past 9 years. He fell crazy in love with horses
when he was 3. Learned how to ride in Boy Scouts. He has been commissioned
to do a portrait of a show horse this spring. He did the painting in the jpg
to practice drawing legs. He is getting better at conformation. This
week Michael is working on an oil painting that was commissioned for Senator
Hilary Clinton. Its a garden party down at Lake Michigan with dogs and cats.
